The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a exciting storyline including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

First, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their position as important members in the influential clan could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the family.

This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the players to form the Questers and Planners groups.

Fans can anticipate learning which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
